Tips For Your Senior Session

Hey everyone! Today’s blog post is going to be for all seniors, whether you are graduating high school or college! It’s that time of year where the senior class is having their portraits taken, so I thought I would share a few tips and tricks to help you make your senior session the best it can be!

1. Bring multiple outfits.

Depending on how long your session is, I would recommend bringing at least 2-3 outfits. One casual, one dressy, and even your cap and gown if you already have it! Everyone has a few different sides to their personality, and your outfits can reflect that. Make sure to choose outfits that you feel amazing in!

For girls, make sure to wear clothes that don’t show awkward tan lines and don’t wear jewelry that overpowers your outfit or face. If you wear make-up, remember to accentuate your natural features instead of trying to make yourself look like someone else. Let your beauty speak for itself!

2. Props

I won’t bring props for your senior session, as every senior’s experience is different. If you play sports, bring your ball or uniform. If you love to read, bring your favorite books. If you plan to go to the University of Tennessee, bring a Vols t-shirt. It is so important to make your senior photos unique to YOU, and not something that anyone else could duplicate!

3. Relax

Senior pictures may be the first time you’ve had professional photographs taken by yourself. That’s okay! It may take a little while for you to warm up, but try to remember to relax and just have fun! You don’t have to pose perfectly for every photo. Just be YOU!
