2020 blog post #2! š I’m not over the fact that we are in a new year AND a new decade, even this many days into January. (Which I think we can ALL agree feels like the longest month of the year.) Today I’m sharing with you another 2019 fall engagement session! Brittany + Benjamin chose these two locations themselves, which I ALWAYS recommend. I don’t mind helping clients choose a location for their sessions, but I think using somewhere that has meaning to the two of you is so much more special than a random pretty venue!
We used two locations for our engagement session with our amazing wedding photographer, and one of them was the wedding venue where we first met. We even took photos in the exact spot where we locked eyes for the first time. Those are some of my favorite photos!
Brittany told me that she and Ben had taken prom photos in a particular area of Norris Dam State Park many years ago (before they were even dating!), so we of course had to get some photos in that location! It always amazes me how many full circle moments happen during our lifetime. Imagine if someone had told Brittany and Ben on the day of their prom that they would be in the same spot years later taking their engagement photos! After spending some time at Norris Dam, we finished in Historic Downtown Clinton for a different type of vibe to end their session. I have not done city shoots in a while, and I had forgotten how much I love the old buildings and different backdrops that come with shooting in a downtown setting.
Here are some of my favorite photos from Brittany + Benjamin’s engagement session!
