If you are reading this soon after I’ve posted it, you may be stuck in your house like we are due to a worldwide virus! I NEVER thought that’s how I would start out a blog post, but here we are!
As I write this, it is Sunday, March 22, 2020. Instead of going to church this morning and then going to the park with the dogs, we stayed home, watched church online, finished a puzzle, Facetimed some dear friends, cleaned the house, and talked about how crazy things are in the world right now. If you are also staying home, I’m sure your life is also looking a little different!
The wedding industry is going through something we’ve never experienced. As a wedding photographer, I never expected a virus to potentially affect my small business! The biggest takeaway I’ve gotten from this (so far) is just how much wedding professionals care about our couples.
For those of us in the industry, our top priority this week has been making sure we are able to take care of our couples in the best way possible. It is so important to remember that this is temporary. It will be okay. Things will go back to normal.
Kristen + Andrew
I wanted to share Kristen and Andrew’s recent engagement session to hopefully brighten your day! Their session was at the end of February, but you would never know based on the location and the gorgeous light we had. Every time I have a beautiful sunset during a winter session, I am reminded to not take those stunning summer sunsets for granted. It is so rare to have light like this during the cold and dreary months, and I was so excited when I saw what beautiful weather we were going to have for their shoot!
Here are some of my favorites from their engagement session. Even though things seem crazy right now, just think – a few months from now I’ll be sharing images from their amazing wedding day!
I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer based in Knoxville, Tennessee but available anywhere. If you have questions about booking me for a session or wedding, click here! To follow me on social media, check out my Facebook and Instagram.
