Krista + Jacob tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in the pine trees in Harrison, Tennessee! I first met Krista + Jacob in October at their engagement session in this same spot, before the work was done to clear out this stunning ceremony space. (You can see their engagement session here!) Krista told me all about her vision for the ceremony and what she hoped it would look like in the woods, and it came to life eight months later in June!
Krista + Jacob’s day was full of special moments. From becoming husband + wife on property that meant a lot to them, to reading private vows to one another during their first look, to having special moments with their parents and grandparents – the entire day was full of lots of hugs, a few tears, and plenty of joy.
In Krista’s getting ready room in the barn, her mother’s veil and soon-to-be- mother-in-law’s veil were hanging together on a full-length mirror. I’m very sentimental myself, and I thought that was such a special touch! After getting ready in separate houses with members of their wedding party, Krista + Jacob had a first look just a short distance from where their reception would be held. After plenty of portraits, we were taken to the woods for the ceremony to begin. It was so sweet to witness Krista being walked down the long woodsy aisle by her father before joining Jacob. (There was even a piano brought to the woods – you’ll see it later in this post!) After their ceremony, the guests were taken to the barn for a candlelit reception with live music by Chris Bandi!
