Margaret + Jon // Maple Grove Estate Wedding Knoxville, Tennessee

Today’s blog post is from Margaret + Jon’s July wedding at Maple Grove Estate in Knoxville, Tennessee! Maple Grove Estate is one of my all-time favorite wedding venues. It has so many beautiful locations for portraits, the largest getting ready suites I’ve ever seen at a wedding venue, and a stunning mansion as a backdrop for your wedding day.

I first photographed Margaret + Jon at their engagement session last fall at Maple Grove – you can see that here! (This is also proof that Maple Grove Estate is a stunning location no matter the season.) Margaret + Jon met in college, and in their wedding questionnaire they wrote that as of their wedding day, they would have been together exactly three years and six days. How sweet is that?!

Their wedding day started off hot and sunny as most July days in Tennessee do. However, right after the family photos finished, a CRAZY storm came from out of no where. You’ll see photos of that further down this blog post! My assistant Carly was stuck under a tree waiting for it to pass, and I was hiding under a small tent near the ceremony site. This job definitely comes with funny stories and memories we keep from each and every wedding! The storm left as quickly as it came, and the party started.
