Ashley + Brady // The Standard Knoxville Wedding

Today’s blog post is all about Ashley + Brady’s wedding at The Standard Knoxville! I first worked with Ashley + Brady at their sunrise engagement session in downtown Knoxville. We spent half of their session in the Gay Street area, and the other half in UT gear with Neyland Stadium in the background! (You can see more of their engagement session here.)

Their wedding day started out with thunderstorms suddenly appearing on the radar right as we arrived to the venue to capture the finishing touches of hair and makeup. One of the craziest storms I’ve ever seen at a wedding started just a few minutes later, and it got dark and stormy VERY fast. One of my favorite parts about The Standard is how many spaces we can use to photograph indoors, so thankfully it was not an issue for us! In a crazy twist, the rain disappeared right after the ceremony, and we were able to do SO many bride + groom portraits outside – in the sunshine!!

One of the sweetest parts of their wedding day was getting to hear how they met through the speeches given during their reception. Ashley’s best friend married Brady’s childhood best friend. Not only did they set them up, but they were obviously in the wedding and able to share about how they were responsible for the bride and groom ending up together!
